Enter The Group Chat
Drumroll please….
At Livity, we’ve always believed that young people don’t just represent the future - they should actively shape it. For years, we’ve been dedicated to creating spaces where youth voices are championed, ensuring they have a seat at the table to influence how our world evolves.
The Context: Growing Up Online
Young people’s safety online is top of the agenda across the country. The Government is currently running the Growing Up Online Consultation, to explore how we can create a safer, healthier online experience for young people. We want to ensure that as many young people as possible share their views in this consultation, so we're launching Enter the Group Chat - a campaign to help raise awareness and encourage participation.
Our Mission
For this consultation to be meaningful, it needs to engage young people who will be impacted the most. They need to have their say, so we’re taking the consultation into their spaces - on and offline. Our goal is simple: ensure young people know this consultation exists and give them the platform to have their voices heard.
We’re breaking down complex themes into relatable formats, capturing real opinions through digital content and IRL (in real life) activity, and signposting everyone to the official consultation before it closes on 26th May.
What’s Happening?
We’ve travelled across the country to film with 13 to 18 year olds, creating content designed around the consultation questions - all co-created with teens. From vox pops to interactive games, a hackathon in Oldham, advertising across Further Education college networks, and national partnerships with organisations, including Onside Youth Zones, Media Smart and Google all who believe in the importance of teens having their say.

The Road Ahead
We’ll be dropping new content every few days featuring different activities and perspectives. Whether it’s the "Pop Off" video at Dagenham Youth Zone or "Standing On Your Opinion" at Salford Lads Club, we’re putting young people’s voices front and centre of the debate.
Once the campaign wraps, we’ll be compiling a montage video to share directly with policymakers.
